Sheila Lee Davies is a licensed architect who has worked globally on a variety of projects. Her portfolio includes corporate office interiors, office buildings, mixed-use developments, and cultural buildings. She is particularly interested in, and has extensively researched, design strategies that promote health and well-being. Her international design experience includes working for a leading architecture firm in Paris, France, and working on design-build projects in Ireland and Finland.

Sheila is constantly seeking innovative approaches to design. For her architectural thesis design, "The Polyphony of the Senses: Translating Synesthetic Music of Olivier Messiaen into Sensual Architecture,” she explored how the multi-sensual music of Olivier Messiaen can be translated into a sensual experiential architectural design. Her design was awarded the Best Thesis Prize and the Prize for Excellence in Thesis Project Presentation. Her thesis work was also exhibited at the “Art en Capital” exhibition at the prestigious Grand Palais, in Paris, France, and was awarded a Médaille d'Or (gold medal) by the Société des Amis des Artistes Français.

Prior to working in architecture, she worked as an international tax consultant in New York serving Fortune 500 companies. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and is a recipient of the AIA Henry Adams Medal for her Master of Architecture studies at the Catholic University of America. She earned her BA from Emory University where she studied piano performance.

Sheila and her husband, Jon, are long-time patrons of San Francisco Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and ECMSA.  She is also a co-founder and trustee of Sheila Lee Davies Charitable Trust. Sheila has recently returned to Atlanta after 22 years.
