Fri. Sept. 29 @ Noon: The distinguished American flutist Ransom Wilson makes his ECMSA debut with a varied program of music by Mozart, Kuhlau, and Rota, with the Vega Quartet, pianist Elizabeth Pridgen, and flutists Christina Smith and James Zellers.
Vega Quartet: Solo!
Fri. Dec. 8: Each member of the Vega Quartet takes a solo turn, including new violist Joseph Skerik performing Grieg’s dramatic Sonata.
Handel With Care
Fri. Jan. 12 @ Noon: Music of and inspired by G. F. Handel, whom Beethoven considered the greatest composer, is performed by pianist Michael Gurt (Brahms Handel Variations) and members of the Vega Quartet.
Zuill Bailey, cello; Vega Quartet
Fri. Apr. 19 @ Noon: Zuill Bailey, Grammy award-winning cellist, returns to Atlanta and joins the Vega Quartet for one of the greatest works in the chamber repertoire, the sublime Schubert Quintet for Strings.
